Lee Corso brought the thunder during his headgear pick on College GameDay down in Tucson.

Lee Corso needed a win in a big way. After coming strongly out of the gate, Coach had misfired on his past two College GameDay headgear selections – both in heartbreak fashion. First it was the Oregon Ducks falling short against Michigan State, then it was Alabama scraping and clawing, only to lose to Ole Miss at home. Back in Pac-12 country, Coach looked to turn the tide with a tricky matchup.

On one side there’s the visiting UCLA Bruins. Josh Rosen has played out of his mind, fending off inconsistency with punctuated scoring drives. Through three games on the season, the Bruins have looked like one of the best teams in the nation, not just the conference. However, UCLA will be forced to adjust to life without Myles Jack, who was lost for the season with a knee injury – this is the first time he hasn’t been in the lineup in 28 games.

Then there’s the home team Wildcats. Arizona opened its season with three straight cupcakes, and faces its first real test of the year. Though, while UCLA will be hampered by the loss of Jack, Arizona should be sparked by the return of Scooby Wright, who has missed time since suffering an injury in the season-opener. Can the Wildcats upend a high-flying Bruins squad inside the Zoo?

At the end of the day Corso chose to Bear Down and decided that Arizona was his pick to end the streak. Wildcats all the way. And the crowd went nuts …
