Rex Ryan really needs to move on from Tom Brady and the New England Patriots

Rex Ryan has always been one of the more polarizing figures in the NFL and in sports. The current Buffalo Bills head coach just has a way of essentially making a story out of nothing or making a big story seem much more substantial. The latest example of this involves his Bills’ Week 2 loss to Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Talking to the media on Wednesday, Ryan said that he isn’t “all the way over” losing to Brady and the Pats in Week 2. In doing this, he also threw a little shade at Eli Manning as well, talking about Manning’s Super Bowl victories over Brady and the Pats:

That wasn’t all Rex had to say about his team and Week 2, though. Going on, Ryan said that he thought that New England looked like they were out for blood when they played the Bills, but that he admired his team’s resolve:

I’m all for a coach standing firmly behind his guys and boosting their egos with support, but there’s a fine line between that and delusion. The 40-32 final score doesn’t indicate how dominant the Patriots were in that game, but Brady’s 466 yards passing on the day and the fact that the Patriots were up by 24 points after three quarters certainly sheds a little more light on the situation. Props to your team for making it look closer, but we all know how the game actually played out, Rex.
