Shabazz Muhammad throws elbow at Sasha Vujecic (Video)

Minnesota Timberwolves forward Shabazz Muhammad threw an elbow at New York Knicks guard Sasha Vujecic.

It’s a battle of two young, talented teams in New York City, as the New York Knicks play host to the Minnesota Timberwolves. While everyone was watching the battle between Kristaps Porzingis and Karl Anthony-Towns, things were getting a little tense between the two teams.

As Timberwolves forward Shabazz Muhammad fought for a loose ball, the pesky Sasha Vujecic tried to get in there and steal the ball away. Muhammad didn’t like that and he threw an elbow right at Vujecic for getting in his space.

Somehow, Muhammad was only assessed a flagrant-1 and was allowed to stay in the ball game. Basketball gets physical when fighting for loose balls, and players will position themselves using elbows.

There was no positioning here, as that was a pretty blatant elbow from Muhammad, who clearly tried to clean Vujecic’s clock with it. Despite not being ejected, he’s certainly going to be getting a call from the league office after they review the situation.

Vujecic has been known to be a pest throughout his career, but unfortunately, you can’t just go around throwing elbows at the guy because you don’t like him.
