The Panthers undefeated season is over as the Falcons rise up.

87. Final. 20. 44. 13

The Carolina Panthers undefeated season has come to an end at the hands of a division rival. The Atlanta Falcons were once the team in the NFC South we thought would make a run at a 16-0 season, but they have since flamed out in a pretty bad way. They’ll be missing the postseason but they managed to leave their mark on their way out the door int he regular season.

Cam Newton and the Panthers are no 14-1 and will likely finish the season 15-1, but they won’t be undefeated any longer. The Falcons rose up in a huge way — rather surprisingly too — to end the Panthers streak at 14-games. That’s not the end of the line for the Panthers though, as they’re still a win away from clinching home field advantage in the postseason and remain hear favorites to be in the Super Bowl this year.

This loss could end up being a blessing in disguise, as the pressure to remain undefeated is off. Carolina has tasted defeat, which could motivate them to never taste it again this season.
