Point Guards:

Best Bets:

John Wall, Wizards ($9,700): Wall is still prone to the occasional clunker (he has been under 30 twice in his last ten games), which makes him a bit of a risk. That said, this is a light night that is mostly void of superstars. Wall can produce like one on occasion. He racked up 73.9 FanDuel points against Boston on January 16th. His matchup against Houston is a good one, so if you have the money, use Wall.

Rajon Rondo, Kings ($8,700): Rondo doesn’t have the upside that Wall does, but he has produced very consistent numbers. He is averaging 37.4 FanDuel points over the last ten games, which is right at his season average. His production warrants the price. If you don’t want to take chances, Rondo is the safe pick.

Honorable Mention:

Jrue Holliday, Pelicans ($7,000): Holliday still has an off game here and there, but as he showed on Monday against the Rockets, he still has something left in the tank. He is rounding back into form and followed up his season high 32 points with 25 more in his last outing. He has also played 70 minutes over his last two games, so concerns of his durability are unwarranted at this point. Holliday is a great play at this price.

Mike Conley, Grizzlies ($6,600): Conley has averaged 29.1 FanDuel points in his four games since returning from a sore Achilles. That is slightly above his season average and makes him a solid 4.5x value. If you would rather spend your money elsewhere, Conley has been above average for his price range.

If You’re Cheap:

Emmanuel Mudiay, Nuggets ($5,200): Mudiay has done a really good job with Jameer Nelson out, however, Nelson is expected to play tonight. I don’t think that will diminish Mudiay’s role much, especially if he plays like he has been lately. Mudiay is averaging 25.1 FanDuel points over his last nine games, making him very close to 5x value.

Patrick Beverley, Rockets ($4,400): Beverley’s low price makes him a low risk. He isn’t much of a threat to hit 30 FanDuel points, but he is consistently in the 24-28 range, which makes him right around 6x value. Temper your expectations against Washington, but he should still manage to get you near that coveted 5x value.

My picks: Rondo and Holliday

Shooting Guards:

Best Bet:

James Harden, Rockets ($10,200): The Spurs held Harden to his worst fantasy day of the season on Wednesday, but Harden got back on track against his former team last night. The fact remains that he is one of the few that can put up 70 FanDuel points. I wouldn’t expect that against the Wizards, who are a strong defensive team, but I doubt they hold him down like the Spurs did. Harden should be somewhere around 40, which makes him a solid pick if you can afford it.

Honorable Mention:

Monta Ellis, Pacers ($6,600): The return of George Hill has cut into Ellis’s production a bit, but he is still playing right around 35 minutes per game. He is not a great option anymore, but he is almost always between 25 and 32 FanDuel points. That makes him a lower risk option for his price range. Especially since Ellis is still lethal when he’s hot. Just ask the Hawks, who got torched for 50 FanDuel points by Ellis on Thursday.

Will Barton, Nuggets ($6,200): The struggles of Gary Harris have swung the pendulum back Barton’s way. Barton has 95.2 FanDuel points in his last three games, but will always remain a risk so long as Harris keeps playing as many minutes as he is.

Brad Beal, Wizards ($6,100): The Wizards are still being very cautious with Beal, which severely limits his fantasy potential, but when he is in there, he produces. He has over 20 FanDuel points in all six games (besides the one he left with a broken nose) since his return. He is nearly a 4x value right now, and has a high ceiling should the club decide to up his minutes.

If You’re Cheap:

Tony Allen, Grizzlies ($4,700): Allen’s defensive prowess keeps him on the court, and lately he has been scoring at a higher pace than normal as well. Over his last two games, Allen has 22 points and 19 rebounds. That makes him a great value at this price tag.

Danny Green, Spurs ($4,200): Green is knocking down a lot of shots lately, hitting half of his threes in January. So long as he stays hot, he is a great bargain in daily games. Green has topped 30 FanDuel points twice in his last three games.

Bryce Jones, Pelicans ($3,500): Jones got the start on Thursday with both Eric Gordon and Tyreke Evans out. They both are listed as out for tonight as well, which makes Jones a great punt option. He scored 24.4 FanDuel points in Thursday’s start, and is a strong bet to do it again.

My picks: Ellis and Jones

Next: Should You Pay For LeBron James?

Small Forwards:

Best Bets:

Paul George, Pacers ($8,500): Aside from his horrible games against the Warriors on January 22nd and the Hawks on Thursday, George has been above 35 FanDuel points in every other game in that span. Five of those nine were in the 40’s. The matchup with Denver is a good one. Expect George to get back on track tonight.

Kawhi Leonard, Spurs ($7,300): Leonard’s numbers have dipped a bit in January, but he put up his high for the month on January 14th against the same Cleveland team that he faces tonight. In fact, he scored more FanDuel points than LeBron James (41.5 to 33.6) in that game. For that reason, I am taking Kawhi over LeBron here.

Honorable Mention:

Danilo Gallinari, Nuggets ($7,200): Gallinari struggled against Memphis and Atlanta last week, which shouldn’t come as much surprise. Gallinari is a great play when the matchup is favorable. The Pacers are solid defensively, but Gallinari put up 30.8 FanDuel points on them back on January 17th. He should be right around 30 again.

Trevor Ariza, Rockets ($5,700): Ariza’s hot streak ended against San Antonio, but the whole Houston team struggled with the Spurs. He had a good game last night against Oklahoma City. It wasn’t the 40-plus that he had put up in the two games prior to the Spurs, but he is back around 30. That makes him worth the cost.

If You’re Cheap:

Jeff Green, Grizzlies ($5,200): Green has been on a tear over the last two games. He isn’t usually a big factor in the Memphis offense, but he has dumped in 51 points in those two games. Predictably, his FanDuel output is way up. He has 71.6 points over those two games. Roll with him while he’s hot!

Alonzo Gee, Pelicans ($4,100): Gee has put up more than 20 FanDuel points in each of his last four games. With Anthony Davis likely out again, Look for Gee to see a good run once again. He is easily at 5x value right now.

My Picks: Leonard and Gee

Next: Do You Need To Spend On Draymond Green?

Jan 28, 2016; New Orleans, LA, USA; New Orleans Pelicans forward Ryan Anderson (33) dribbles the ball around Sacramento Kings forward Quincy Acy (13) during the second half at the Smoothie King Center. The Pelicans won 114-105. Mandatory Credit: Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Power Forward:

Best Bets:

Thaddeus Young, Nets ($6,400): With Anthony Davis questionable and Kevin Love and LaMarcus Aldridge posting horrible numbers against tonight’s opponents in their last game against them, Young is the next bets option. Even then, he is not a great one. His production is way down in January, but he is playing a New Orleans team that could be without Davis again. Young is the least risk of the top options.

Ryan Anderson, Pelicans ($5,700): With Anthony Davis listed as questionable, that means that Anderson could be in line to get another start. He has put up some huge numbers when Davis has missed time this year. Hell, he occasionally does it with Davis in there. Anderson is a very low-risk play tonight. He put up 51.8 FanDuel points on Thursday with Davis sitting. If Davis sits again, Anderson is a must-start.

Honorable Mention:

Myles Turner, Pacers ($5,000): Turner is averaging 33.6 FanDuel points over the last six games. He is playing a lot of minutes right now, and is showing no signs of slowing down. He remains one of the best bargain plays available so long as the Pacers keep giving him minutes, and they have no reason not to.

If You’re Cheap:

Clint Capela, Rockets ($4,600): Care to guess which way the Rockets are going to go at PF? It is suddenly crowded up front with Dwight Howard back and Josh Smith in the picture. Terrence Jones would seem to be the odd man out right now, but that may not last. Capela is the only one that has remained consistent over the last few games, but his upside is zero considering all of the bodies up front.

Willie Cauley-Stein, Kings ($4,300): Cauley-Stein has thrived alongside DeMarcus Cousins lately. He has averaged almost a point per minute over his last five games, and is playing nearly 30 minutes per game until the game against the Pelicans on Thursday. Expect Cauley-Stein to play more minutes against the Grizzlies tonight, meaning his production should be near 5x value once again.

My picks: Anderson and Turner

Next: Who Is The Best At C?

Center:

Best Bets:

DeMarcus Cousins, Kings ($11,200): Forget about his slightly off night on Tuesday for a minute. He was tired! That was the only game in which Cousins had been under 42 FanDuel points since January 6th. His floor has been 4x value lately. He was back on track with 53 FanDuel points against New Orleans on Thursday. Playing Cousins is the least risk if you want to pay for a stud tonight.

Honorable Mention:

Brook Lopez, Nets ($8,100): Lopez has been known to put up 50 FanDuel points in favorable matchups. It is the unfavorable ones that bring his overall value down. However, you don’t have to worry about that in Daily Fantasy Sports! Lopez has a good matchup against New Orleans tonight even if Anthony Davis does play. Omer Asik will guard him, which means Lopez could have a really nice game if you don’t want to pay for the best.

Marcin Gortat, Wizards ($6,900): Gortat is about as consistent as they come. He is averaging 31.2 FanDuel points since returning from a sore knee on January 16th. That puts him almost dead on 4.5x value. There isn’t a lot of upside here, but he is about as low-risk as centers come.

If You’re Cheap:

Nikola Jokic, Nuggets ($5,400): Jokic had an off game against Boston when he tweaked his knee. If you take out that one, he has put up 37.5, 37.5, and 35.5 FanDuel points in his last three games. It’s hard to say play any Nugget with confidence, but if you need to save at center, Jokic is likely the best bet.

Ian Mahinmi, Pacers ($5,000): Mahinmi put up 30 FanDuel points in his return to the court on Tuesday. He put up 20 more against a good Atlanta interior on Thursday. His matchup against Denver tonight is a good one, so look for him to be closer to 30 than 20.

My Pick: Cousins
