Tiger Woods is hitting golf balls again

Tiger Woods released a video of him hitting golf balls.
Tiger Woods is back at it. A video of him hitting golf balls in house was released on his Twitter account this morning. The man who has been through it all in the golf world – from the highs of majors, tour wins and championships, to personal scandal and injury plagued seasons – is back hitting balls after being absent from the golfing world.
Woods has been sidelined with a series of injuries for quite some time now. Shortly after making his triumphant return, again, Woods had a disappointing 2015 season that included only one top 10 finish at the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, N.C., last August. Tiger hasn’t played a competitive round since. Woods did attend a press conference back in December where he laid down some not so happy news. Admitting that he has no timetable for a return after two surgeries in the same spot:
“I don’t have an answer as to when I will be back. I have nothing to look forward to. There is no timetable.” (More on Tiger’s depressing news conference here)
That left everyone wondering if Tiger may ever play golf again, that is until he dropped a Twitter video showing him, “Progressing nicely,” as he hits golf balls on his simulator:
No, he may not be close to competitive play. No, his swing is not at the level it used to be. But who cares? Tiger’s return is nothing but good for the game of golf, and believing otherwise would be a mistake.
Hopefully, the chills of seeing Tiger club twirling on the tee and power walking down the fairway will here sooner, rather than later.
