Karl-Anthony Towns gets loose for huge fast break slam (Video)

Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves got loose on a fast break against the New Orleans Pelicans and made them pay for it.
The New Orleans Pelicans were without Anthony Davis on Saturday night to defend Karl-Anthony Towns, and it started to show by the time the third quarter rolled around. Towns, the rookie and No. 1 overall pick from this season, got the ball around half court with no one, and I mean no one around him. He took advantage, taking only a handful of steps before he jumped, cocked the basketball back, and threw it down for a huge slam that was just plain disrespectful on the Pelicans’ court.
Towns does a lot on the floor, and is averaging a double-double with points and rebounds already in his young NBA career. His resume is growing quickly, and he’s joined the Minnesota Timberwolves at the perfect time as they also have Andrew Wiggins, another young NBA star that should be able to push this team to success in the future.
He has a lot of things that back him up as the front-runner to be the rookie of the year, but intangibles like this play really stick in fan’s minds.
Give this man the Rookie of the Year award already!
