Buddy Hield had us all thinking that Oklahoma won in dramatic fashion, but that was not the case

So yeah, the Big 12 Tournament semifinal game between the Oklahoma Sooners and West Virginia Mountaineers had one of the craziest endings that we have seen this season.

Late in the second half Oklahoma made a run to actually come back and take the lead on the Mountaineers. The rest of the way they would trade blows like the big-time contenders they are, and with the seconds ticking down, it seemed as if Buddy Hield supplied us all with the second crazy last-second shot of the day.

It was pure madness from that point and the Sooners were celebrating.

But then, we all got a chance to look at the replay, and it was sadly pretty evident that Buddy didn’t get the shot off in time.

Just … wow. You can’t really get much closer than that right there. It was bang-bang when it happened in real time, but once you take a look at the video, it’s pretty clear the shot didn’t get off in time.

March can be glorious, but it can also be cruel … very cruel.
