Second Round

East Region

No. 16 Farleigh Dickinson Knights over No. 8 USC Trojans
This is an interesting battle between two types of soldiers that, in a real duel, would probably last quite a while. Given the minor advancements in technology for a Knight over a Trojan, though, Farleigh Dickinson moves on.

No. 13 Stony Brook Seawolves over No. 5 Indiana Hoosiers
The Seawolves have to be an early favorite to win it all as they should easily be able to take down an Indiana native.

No. 3 West Virginia Mountaineers over No. 6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Armed with guns more than likely and I’m sure some mountain-forged tools as well, the Fighting Irish don’t stand much of a chance against the Mountaineers.

No. 2 Xavier Musketeers over No. 10 Pittsburgh Panthers
Just like in the first round as the Musketeers got past the Wildcats of Weber State, I again like their skill as swordsman to reign supreme in this battle.

Midwest Region

No. 16 Hampton Pirates over No. 8 Texas Tech Red Raiders
For whatever reason, a Pirate simply sounds more fearsome than a Red Raider. When you get down to it, I just see a Pirate prevailing in a fight between the two.

No. 12 Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans over No. 13 Iona Gaels
The Gaels advanced out of the first round based on a technicality, but I don’t see them having the same luck against an armed and trained Trojan.

No. 6 Seton Hall Pirates over No. 3 Utah Utes
An interesting battle here between a Pirate and an American Indian, but the advancement in weapon technology (i.e. having guns) ultimately plays in the favor of Seton Hall

No. 2 Michigan State Spartans over No. 7 Dayton Flyers
I struggled to even advance the Flyers out of the first round considering how mostly useless they seem in a fight. Against some of the most fearsome soldiers in history in a Spartan, it’s game over for Dayton.
