A look at the live scoring results from the NCAA Tournament First Round game between Austin Peay and Kansas.

Is anyone surprised that the Kansas Jayhawks were named the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament field? Well, after a 30-4 finish to the year and a Big 12 Tournament title, the Jayhawks will be the team to beat in 2016 March Madness. It’s going to be interesting to see how the Jayhawks fare against a tough No. 4 and No. 5 seed in the South Region.

Veteran big man Perry Ellis leads the way for Kansas with 16.7 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. He’s the leader this team needs to make it to the Final Four and Devonte’ Graham, Wayne Selden Jr. and Frank Mason III are scary threats as well.

Not many people who followed the Ohio Valley Conference believed the Austin Peay Governors would be the conference tournament champion who would head to the NCAA Tournament, but after a crazy week, here they are. After finishing the year with a six-game win streak, the Governors went from a lowly 12-17 team to an 18-17 tourney squad.

Chris Horton could match up quite nicely with Kansas’ post players and he might give the Jayhawks fits. He’s averaging 18.9 points and 12.0 rebounds while shooting an impressive 60 percent from the field. Keep an eye out for Josh Robinson who averages nearly 17 points per game and can fill it up from deep when he’s on.
