A look at the live scoring results from the NCAA Tournament First Round game between Buffalo and Miami.

The No. 14 Buffalo Bulls and No. 3 Miami Hurricanes will meet in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday. The Hurricanes after a strong campaign in the ACC, were seeded very high in the South Region and there are a lot of expectations on them coming into the game.

Remarkably, the Bulls are back in the NCAA Tournament, despite the adversity that they have faced since their season ended in the tournament last year. They have a brand new head coach after Bobby Hurley left after the end of last season, yet they’re back at the top of the MAC and will be looking to pull off the big upset on Thursday.

Miami comes into the game led by senior guard Sheldon McClellan, who has helped put the team on his back with his tremendous shooting ability. Along with guard Angel Rodriguez, the Hurricanes have a dynamic back court that the Bulls are going to have their hands full with early and often.

For the Bulls, they are in the NCAA tournament behind a big shot by Blake Hamilton. With seconds winding down on the clock against the Akron Zips, Hamilton drilled a huge three that would ultimately secure the MAC Championship for the Bulls.

If they are going to pull off the huge upset over Miami in the South Region, they’re going to need plenty of timely shooting. The good news is the Bulls have the depth to do so and plenty of great shooters on the roster to match with Miami’s back court.
