A look at the live scoring results from the NCAA Tournament First Round game between Butler and Texas Tech.

One of the first NCAA Tournament games that will be seen on Thursday will feature Butler taking on Texas Tech. The winner of this No. 8 seed vs. No. 9 seed game will play the winner of Virgina vs. Hampton on Saturday.

Butler is coming off a 19-12 season that saw key wins over Purdue once and Seton Hall multiple times. The Bulldogs fell to Providence in the Big East Conference tournament, though, and earned this at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament.

Butler is led by seniors Kellen Durham and Roosevelt Jones, and sophomore Kelan Martin. These three combine for about 46 PPG of 81 that the Bulldogs average. They will need big performances out of this trio for the game against Texas Tech.

The Red Raiders are coming off a 19-12 season in the Big 12 Conference. They lost early on in the conference tournament, though, to TCU. This would lead to an at-large big for the NCAA Tournament.

Texas Tech is led by four double-digit PPG scorers in Toddrick Gotcher, Devaughtah Williams, Aaron Ross and Zach Smith. They combine for over half of TTU’s scoring average and one of them may need to take over the game for them to win.

With that said, here is a look at the scoring results from this game.
