Live scoring updates for UNC Wilmington Seahawks vs Duke Blue Devils in the 2016 NCAA Tournament

The First Round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament finally gets underway in a furious manner on Thursday, March 17 and March Madness can officially run wild on the college basketball world. The first matchup of the First Round will feature an intriguing battle between the UNC Wilmington Seahawks out of the CAA and last year’s national champs in the Duke Blue Devils.

Coming off of their title, Duke has been plagued by inconsistency all season and have struggled since Amile Jefferson went out with a foot injury that ended his season. However, they’re one of the most talented teams in the NCAA Tournament by a wide margin as they boast the likes of Brandon Ingram and Grayson Allen on their roster.

As for UNC Wilmington, they finished the regular season atop the CAA and then ran through the conference tourney to earn a berth in the 2016 NCAA Tournament. The Seahawks are a dangerous team with Chris Flemmings leading the way, but guys like Denzel Ingram and Craig Ponder on the perimeter can light it up and will surely need to do so to pull the upset.

Many people have this pegged as a potential upset in the First Round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament as the inconsistency of Duke is unsettling for some. Subsequently, this will be game that hoops fans need to keep an eye on.
