Live scoring updates for Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks vs West Virginia Mountaineers in the 2016 NCAA Tournament

March Madness has now officially tipped off and in full swing after the first day of the First Round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament. One of the most intriguing matchups on Friday in terms of potential upsets will be between the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks and the West Virginia Mountaineers out in the East Region as they take the floor at Barclays Center.

West Virginia has been one of the most dangerous teams in the loaded Big 12 all season, anchored by a suffocating defensive effort. However, it’s Jaysean Paige and Devin Williams that shine for them and it’ll be those two players that need to step up for the Mountaineers as they have hopes of making a NCAA Tournament run.

For Stephen F. Austin, this is their third consecutive year in the NCAA Tournament out of the Southland Conference and they’re looking to become this year’s Cinderella. Thomas Walkup leads the way as the senior star for Stephen F. Austin, but the Lumberjacks will need Demetrious Floyd and Clide Geffrard Jr. to step up around Walkup.

West Virginia are the clear favorites in this matchup, but Stephen F. Austin has an upset in mind. Seeing if the Lumberjacks can find success in that regard will be one of the early stories to watch in the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
