Villanova fans went absolutely crazy in the streets of Pennsylvania after the Wildcats won the National Championship

Considering that the Villanova Wildcats had only one National Championship in the history of the entire basketball program (1985), a win over the North Carolina Tar Heels on Monday night in Houston would have made the fans in Villanova, PA absolutely lose their minds. So when Kris Jenkins provided one of the most memorable moments in the history of the NCAA Tournament, things only got crazier.

Jenkins hit a buzzer-beater in the final moments of the National Championship to give Villanova the win over North Carolina and to earn the Wildcats the title. The players themselves lost their minds, but that was nothing compared to the fans back at their home base in Pennsylvania.

Out in the streets of Villanova, PA, the fans flooded the streets and threw a massive party as they all just reveled in the win. As always seems to happen in these types of moments, these fans also started lighting things on fire in the middle of the street:

I have no idea why burning things in the middle of the street is the way some fans like to celebrate, but as long as these Villanova fans aren’t hurting anyone or causing serious damage to property, to each their own.

Moreover, these Wildcats fans have more than enough reasons to absolutely be going wild in the streets in Pennsylvania. Not only did their team win a National Championship, but they also did so in the most thrilling fashion. So by all means, let loose.
