Here is the complete television schedule for the second round series between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Washington Capitals.

The NHL got the Washington Capitals versus Pittsburgh Penguins Eastern Conference Finals series that it has yearned for ever since Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby debuted in 2005. There’s only one tiny issue: It’s in the second round. Nevertheless, this series should act as the Eastern Conference Finals because whoever comes out alive in what should be an epic series should go on to win the Eastern Conference and possibly even the Stanley Cup.

Washington is looking to rewrite their postseason history and create a new legacy as the Capitals hope to erase the playoff failures from the past. Over the regular season and postseason, the President’s Trophy winning Caps have proven that they are a far more resilient bunch than teams in the past. Led by Maurice Rocket Richard Trophy winner Alex Ovechkin and Vezina Trophy finalist Braden Holtby, the Caps will look to exorcise their biggest playoff demon in the Pittsburgh Penguins. Pittsburgh won’t go down that easily though. They will be led by a high octane offense and rookie goaltender Matthew Murray, who has had a great start to his NHL career.
