Denver Broncos All-Pro outside linebacker Von Miller rejected the teams’ newest long-term offer. Here are five teams Miller could sign with in free agency.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Denver Broncos organization and Super Bowl 50 MVP All-Pro outside linebacker Von Miller are at a stalemate in negotiating a new contract extension for easily the Broncos’ best player.

Miller has spent his entire five-year NFL career in Denver after being the No. 2 overall pick by the Broncos out of Texas A&M in the 2011 NFL Draft behind only former Auburn Tigers quarterback Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers.

Miller reportedly rejected the Broncos’ most recent offer: a six-year deal worth $114.5 million, including $39.8 million guaranteed in the first two years of the deal. Team president and Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway has done a marvelous job building the Broncos the last several seasons.

While Elway is certainly pragmatic in his negotiating tactics, Miller is worth every penny of being the highest paid defensive player in the NFL. Without Miller, Denver doesn’t win Super Bowl 50 over the Panthers at Levi’s Stadium on February 7th.

Miller will now almost certainly play the 2016 NFL season on the Broncos’ one-year franchise tag worth over $14 million before hitting 2017 NFL free agency. Denver and Miller have until July 15th to negotiate a long-term deal before having to settle for the 2016 franchise tag.

Should Miller want to leave Denver for more money and maybe a better chance at winning another Super Bowl in the life of that supposed long-term deal, here are five NFL teams that he should consider in 2017 NFL free agency if the bridge is shamelessly burnt between him and Denver.
