Karl-Anthony Towns appears on Disney XD show and gets schooled.

Karl-Anthony Towns is living up to expectations after the Minnesota Timberwolves drafted him #1 in the 2015 NBA Draft. Towns helped the Timberwolves have back-to-back Rookies of the Year on their team by winning the award in 2016.

Andrew Wiggins won the award for the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2014/15 after being apart of the trade that sent all-star Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers .

In the 2015/16 season, some can argue that Towns exceeded expectations. He put up eye-popping stats with averages of nearly 18 points, 11 rebounds and two blocked shots per game.

After a successful rookie campaign, Karl-Anthony Towns seems to be enjoying himself. Towns has been seen this summer taking in the Vegas weather and watching his Timberwolves team compete in the NBA Vegas Summer League.

Now the 2016 Rookie of the Year is giving acting a try. Towns appeared on the Disney XD show Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything. In his appearance, Towns plays his own video game titled “Karl-Anthony Towns’ Nothin’ But Net” and gets beaten in the process by his teenage opponent. Towns also seemed to do his impression of Kyrie Irving’s “Uncle Drew” character later on in the show. A video and pictures from his appearance on the show can be seen below:

Towns seems to be enjoying himself in the off-season, as Minnesota could be in for a big year next season. With the Timberwolves hiring a new no-nonsense coach and having other young players such as Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine – that should make huge strides in year three – this could be a make or break year for them.
