Which 30 games will be delivering a full-on dose of nostalgia when the NES Classic Edition arrives this fall? We’ve got the list right here.

At 30 games for a suggested price of $60, there doesn’t appear to be a better bang for your buck in (legal) retro gaming than the NES Classic Edition on its way in November. Considering that the thing is small enough to essentially fit in your hand and it will plug right into your fancy flatscreen, there’s really no reason not to lust after one of these for the holidays.

Ah, but which 30 games are included? Nintendo has already revealed the NES Classic Edition game list, allowing us to

second-guess

find all our favorites in advance.

Included on the list are multiple iconic video game franchises (Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Castlevania), the first Final Fantasy title to hit North America, and some arcade legends. Notably absent are most of Nintendo’s early sports games, though Punch-Out!! and Tecmo Bowl prevent a total shutout of that genre.

No selection of 30 games was likely to please everyone when it comes to a beloved system like the NES, but this one should prove more than enough to land the NES Classic Edition on many a Christmas list later this year.
