For most NBA players one or two family members stand out as the ones that really sacrificed so that they could reach their dreams of becoming a professional basketball player. For many that person is their mom and for many others a grandmother. For Myles Turner it seems that his grandmother and aunt both helped, which meant that gifting them a car as he did on Tuesday was a big deal.

It is pretty great that Turner broadcast this live because the reactions are so worth it. The “what the hell” from who I assume is Turner’s aunt is just amazing.

More from NBA

Really though, the best part of the video is the joy that Turner has throughout the entire process. Every interview with Turner since the Indiana Pacers drafted him has helped fans see him as a player that understands how lucky he is to be in the position he is in and this video shows that again. The entire time he is filming Turner has a sense of happiness that comes with still being unable to believe that he is able to do something like gift a car to his family.

It is just a great moment and a great reminder that behind each NBA player is someone who helped them get to the point they are at and they know and understand that. As Turner repeatedly said, a car isn’t enough but at the very least it is a great start.
