Who did Lee Corso select with his headgear pick for Saturday’s game between Florida and Tennessee?

On Saturday, college football analyst Lee Corso made his latest headgear selection on College GameDay in Knoxville, TN. The show made their second stop for a Tennessee game in the 2016 season, the first came at the Battle at Bristol. This saw the Volunteers defeat Virginia Tech, 45-23. For September 24, they will be hosting No. 19 Florida.

The Gators will come into this game with a different quarterback at the helm. Starter Luke Del Rio went down with an injury last Saturday, which means Purdue transfer, Austin Appleby steps in as the replacement. This is the senior’s first start since November 28, 2015. He threw for 332 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions in a loss to Indiana.

A potential decline in the passing game could lead to the Florida rushing attack being more relied on. That would mean Jordan Scarlett, Mark Thompson, and Lamical Perine all receive extra touches to add to their combined 502 yards and 5 touchdowns.

Tennessee comes into this game as the No. 14-ranked team. While they handily defeated the Hokies, Butch Jones and Co. barely got by the likes of Appalachian State and Ohio. It’s keeping them in the polls, but how much would it factor in if Florida beats them on Saturday?

So, to close out College GameDay, Corso would select one of these teams. Who would he choose?

This selection will potentially make Corso 3-1 by the end of Saturday.

Tennessee vs. Florida will push one of these SEC schools further up in the polls. They both remain perfect, which will change after Saturday afternoon. Could the winner of this game go into the top 10 of the rankings?
