Thunder guard Victor Oladipo absolutely destroyed the worlds of two Real Madrid players in their exhibition preseason matchup on Monday

On Monday, the Oklahoma City Thunder played in another high-profile NBA preseason matchup. Russell Westbrook and company traveled to Madrid, Spain to take on one of the best teams in European hoops, Real Madrid. Sure enough, the home team lived up to the billing as they too the Thunder to the limit and forced overtime. However, it was in overtime where at least two Real Madrid players were left wishing that new Thunder guard Victor Oladipo had stayed in OKC.

With the exhibition game knotted up at 128, Oladipo got the ball just left of the top of the key. He then beat his man off the dribble going to the rim, leaving the guy scrambling to catch up. At the same time, the help man sitting on the right block came over to try and help his beaten teammate out.

In the end, though, they were both left wishing they had just let him get to the rim undeterred. As both men went at Oladipo to try and stop him, he went right through them and put them both on a poster with a monstrous slam:

Dion Waiters—er—Russell Westbrook will be the most important player for the Thunder in the 2016-17 season, obviously. However, the impact of Victor Oladipo is going to be the X-factor. No one fully knows what to expect from the guard now that he’s gone from the Orlando Magic. What we do know, though, is that he possesses a mountain of upside and the tools to make plays like putting Spanish guys on a poster.

We’ll see as the season wears on if he can do the same against, you know, not Real Madrid. However, the fact that he’s already comfortable enough to go for it in preseason game No. 1 is a good sign for the Thunder.
