DFS Fantasy Football Picks: Week 10 DFS Bargain Bin

DFS Fantasy Football Picks:

Similarly to baseball, finding cheaper value players are ever so critical to the success of your DFS Fantasy Football Picks. In order to unlock the studs of the slate, you’ll need to find the bargain players that provide important salary relief. Here are my top bargain plays for week ten on both DraftKings and FanDuel.

Darren Sproles – PHI (RB) – DK $4300 FD $5100

Philadelphia will be in a “get well spot” on Sunday against the visiting Atlanta Falcons. Darren Sproles is the most appealing bargain value play, with his new workload. In the last two weeks, Sproles has been on the field for 74.1% of the offensive snaps, recording 36 total touches. This dwarfs former lead back Ryan Mathews, who was only in on 10.6% of offensive snaps. While the Eagles do prefer Mathews at the goal line, Sproles’ price has not been accurately adjusted for his expected volume and match up.

As a whole, the Eagles have drastic home vs. road splits, and are in desperate need of a win after losing 4 of their last 5 games. Atlanta is currently a 2.5 point favorite, with Eagles projected to score roughly 24 points. Sproles is somewhat game flow proof, in that he would see more carries with a lead, but also be involved in the passing game if they fall behind. Keep in mind that Sproles is also a threat in the return game, where he was inches away from returning a punt last week.

DraftKings Specific:

Marcus Mariota – TEN (QB) – $5700

Marcus Mariota is one of my favorite plays at quarterback this week in cash games. After a rocky start this year, he’s settled in nicely, meeting or exceeding value in each of his last 5 games. The Titans have opened up as a 2.5 point favorite at home against Green Bay. This is a great spot to back the Titan, with the Packers as a short road favorite and the public pounding the Packers. With Kendall Wright and Delanie Walker both healthy, Mariota has many more options than he had earlier in the year. Green Bay has shown no signs of being able to limit opposing quarterbacks and Mariota should be able to take advantage of this.

FanDuel Specific:

James White – NE (RB) – $5400

The running back situation could be a tricky one this week. It’s been reported that Dion Lewis may be available for the Pats this week. He was able to get into practice two weeks ago, before the team’s bye week, so we’ll have to monitor this situation closely. Even if he is active, I would assume that there is no need to rush back a running back coming off of two knee surgeries when the Patriots sit a top of the NFL standings. However, if I had a quarter for every time I was wrong in predicting what Bill Belichick would do I would be a very rich man.

If we get word that Lewis is out or extremely limited, I’ll be firing up a few shares of James White. The Patriots are in a glorious spot, coming off of the bye, facing a west coast team traveling east. Seattle is also coming off of a short week after playing on Monday night. Belichick is a master at exploiting the weaknesses of the opposing team and that would point to a heavy use of James White and Rob Gronkowski in the middle of the field. Note, if we get word that Lewis will play a role, I’ll be off of a much too crowded backfield.

Jordan Matthews – PHI (WR) – FD $5900

As previously discussed the Eagles offense is in a favorable spot at home this week and Jordan Matthews is a sufficient ,mid priced wide receiver. Matthews was dominant early in his career, playing out of the slot. For some reason (most likely due to the lack of depth at WR) the coaching staff moved him to the outside to begin the year. After an awful start, he is now back to running a majority of his routes out of the slot position. This change has provided him with some success, catching a total of 17 balls, including a touchdown, in his last two games. The Eagles have shown that they’re willing to dink and dunk the opposing defense to death and if Matthews is running routes closer to the line of scrimmage he should continue to see success.
