DFS Fantasy Football Picks: Week 15 DFS Bargain Bin
DFS Fantasy Football Bargain Bin:
Similarly to baseball, finding cheaper value players are ever so critical to the success of your DFS Fantasy Football Picks. In order to unlock the studs of the slate, you’ll need to find the bargain players that provide important salary relief. Here are my top bargain plays for week fifteen on both DraftKings and FanDuel.
Kenneth Farrow – SD (RB) – DK$4400 FD$6000
With Melvin Gordon sidelined due to injury, rookie Kenneth Farrow will get an opportunity to carry the load for the Chargers. Gordon exited last weeks game against Carolina with hip injury, and is reported as doubtful to go against the Raiders this week. Farrow filled in admirably, registering 55 yards (3.4 YPA), and 6 receptions for 23 yards. While the Chargers are short home dogs this week, they are facing an Oakland run defense that has been gashed on the ground, ranking 26th in run defense DVOA. It should be noted that Ronnie Hillman was a healthy scratch last week and could cut potential cut into Farrow’s usage. That being said, with the Chargers eliminated from the playoff race, you’d imagine that they would want to get a look at what their rookie has to offer, rather than a guy that has been cut by multiple teams this year.
Kenneth Dixon – BAL (RB) – DK$3800 FD$5100
Kenneth Dixon finally eclipsed the split workload and saw a season high, 19 touches on Monday night in New England. This dwarfed that of his counter part, Terrance West, who only saw 6 touches. It’s some what uncertain if this workload was game script driven, or if he truly has taken over as the lead back. At a price tag this cheap, I’ll be taking the risk assuming that he’ll get a majority of the usage this week. While the Philadelphia run defense may be it’s strongest asset, Dixon is in a great spot to capitalize, as a 5.5 point home favorite.
UPDATE: ESPN’s Jamison Hensley has reported that Terrance West will remain the starter and handle early down work.
Jamarcus (J.J.) Nelson – ARI (WR) – DK$3900 FD$5000
With news breaking of Michael Floyd‘s release, J.J. Nelson is now solidified as the wide receiver #2. Teammate John Brown has battled issues relating to sickle-cell trait all year, and has been held on a snap count because of it. While Floyd wasn’t drawing a ton of volume in targets, Nelson should still see an uptick in that department. Given the price and a team total of 26.75, it’ll be hard to pass up Nelson this week.
DraftKings Specific:
Tyrod Taylor – BUF (QB) – $5700
While Tyrod Taylor has struggled of late statistically, he’ll be in a dream match up on Sunday, when the Bills play host to the woeful Cleveland Browns. Buffalo has been committed to run of late, as they should be, but with a projected team total of 26 points, it would be quite surprising for Tyrod to not hit value at this price. Tyrod presents an appeal rushing floor (weather played a factor last week) especially for a quarter back at this price. It should be noted that you’ll need to monitor weather for all players from here on out. Given the fluidity of weather changes, it’s meaningless to write out a report at the current time, other than to say, proceed with caution and take advantage of areas where others may not.

Jermaine Gresham – ARI (TE) – $2500
I’m not quite sure how Jermaine Gresham remains at the stone minimum, $2500, after receiving 7, 6, and 10 targets in the last three weeks. The apparent decline of Carson Palmer has brought on an emergence of short, middle of the field passing routes. Gresham may not be the most talented tight end, but if he continues to see this many targets against the Saints, he should be a good bet to reach value.
FanDuel Specific:
Jordan Matthews – PHI (WR) – $5700
After failing to drag his back foot for a would be touchdown, Jordan Matthews went from a huge fantasy outing to an average day, recording 8 catches for 79 yards. He’ll be in an interesting spot this week as Raven cornerback, Jimmy Smith, is in serious doubt of missing this week 15 match up. Smith has been impressive this year, but his absence is worth even more value, as this leaves a gaping hole, where the Ravens are extremely thin with back up talent. It may not be a huge upgrade for Matthews as he’s moved around from the slot to outside receiver, but in a game where Philly should be trialing, we can except for Wentz to be throwing the ball.
Other Bargain and Non-Bargain Values: Alex Smith, Matt Ryan, Le’Veon Bell, David Johnson, Jerick McKinnon, Rishard Matthews, T.Y. Hilton, Sammy Watkins, Kyle Rudolph, Delanie Walker, Zach Ertz, Travis Kelce, Antonio Gates
