Patric Hornqvist – PIT (W) – $6700

Pittsburgh wont have to travel far tonight, as they head over to Columbus to take on the red-hot Columbus Blue Jackets. Patric Hornqvist is an intriguing option tonight as he’s moved off of the first line, but remains on the top power play unit. Columbus will have a decision to make tonight if they want to check the first line with Crosby or not. If they do, this would open up a great opportunity for Hornqvist who is now slated to play along side of Malkin and Kunitz. There aren’t many sure-fire match-ups to target tonight, so I’ll be relying on guys that provide a high volume of shots, like Hornqvist.

More from FanSided

Phillip Danault – MTL (C) – $3700

Phillip Danault is an excellent value play, as he’s priced below $4000 and playing on both the first line, and first power play unit. Danault is averaging 1.48 shots per game and 13.03 minutes per game. However, both of these numbers have been elevated of late. In his last three appearances, he’s averaged just under 17 minutes per game. If we can get that type of ice time tonight, Danault should be able to return value.

Cory Conacher – TB (W) – $3200

We were burned by Cory Conacher earlier this week, but it’s hard to stray away from a guy this cheap, with the type of opportunity that he’s getting. As of now, he is projected to skate again, with the top line and top power play unit. Consider Conacher as a punt play if you’re looking to jam in some of the top end skaters.

Erik Karlsson – OTT (D) – $7200

If you choose to roster some of these bargain options, you may have the available salary to spend up on a defenseman like Erik Karlsson. Karlsson is one of the most consistent fantasy producers, as he can accumulate points in multiple categories. Averaging 3.07 shots per game, 2.43 blocks per game, and 28.61 minutes per game, Karlsson is a safe bet in cash games. Again, it’s an odd slate, in that most of the normal offensive fire power is on the road, so match-ups can be tricky when spending up on the top forwards.
