One year ago, the UNC Wilmington Seahawks won the CAA Tournament to earn an NCAA Tournament berth. They were matched up with in-state powerhouse Duke in the first round. Though outmatched, the Seahawks put up a spirited fight and took the Blue Devils to their limits before ultimately suffering defeat. Now they look to repeat the course to March Madness at the start of the 2017 CAA Tournament, but with a different end-game in mind.

UNC Wilmington has been one of the bigger surprise successes of the 2016-17 college basketball season. Yes, they were expected to be good after the tourney berth last season, but not as good as they’ve been. Kevin Keatts’ group enters the CAA Tournament having posted a 26-5 overall record and having gone 15-3 in conference play.

However dominant the Seahawks have been overall, though, they still have stiff competition in the 2017 CAA Tournament. The Charleston Cougars trail them by one game in the conference standings as the No. 2 seed, having put up a 23-8 overall mark on the season themselves. Going down the seeds, you even have a No. 6 seed in the Northeastern Huskies who boast the conference’s Player of the Year.

Needless to say, the 2017 CAA Tournament has the potential to be great and produce a true Cinderella with an automatic berth. Subsequently, you’ll want to follow along with all of the action. As such, here’s a look at the 2017 CAA Tournament bracket with a printable version available if you simply click the image, which will redirect you to that version:

The play-in games for the bottom-four seeds obviously begin on Friday, March 3. However, the full slate of games begin on Saturday.
