Russell Westbrook threw down a highlight reel dunk late in the fourth quarter to seal the win for Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday.

The Oklahoma City Thunder and Utah Jazz squared up Saturday and Russell Westbrook continued his pace to become the NBA’s MVP.

With less than a minute left in the fourth quarter and the game in hand, Westbrook handed off to Victor Oladipo on the wing, cut to the basket and delivered this dagger for the hometown crowd.

First off, there’s something to be said about Westbrook’s effort on the floor every night. The man knows nothing about taking plays off or leaving a little in the tank for later. The high level of play and disregard for gravity let alone bodily harm is what separates Westbrook from the superstars presently in the league. Without a doubt, I can say that I have never been more impressed by a player, because the intensity that Westbrook delivers each night is remarkable.

In an NBA ridiculed for being soft and full of divas, it’s reassuring to know that some guys still love to go out and ball. Russell Westbrook on any given night will give you your money’s worth. He gives the fans, coaches, and his teammates 100 percent on every play. While coaches and players may be opting to save their bodies for the playoffs, every night is a playoff game for Westbrook, and he understands it might be the first time you are seeing him in action.

As the season continues to roll on and the playoff races heat up, one thing is for certain, Russell Westbrook will continue to throw down these type of dunks. He will also continue to play each game like it’s his last and that’s why you should continue to tune in.
