The Baylor Bears paid tribute to Craig Sager in a postgame interview.

Craig Sager touched the lives of many people. Everyone who got the honor of knowing him was made better because of it. Consider the Baylor Bears basketball program to be among those blessed to know him.

The last time the program made it to the Sweet 16, Sager was there with them. Naturally, Baylor wanted to pay tribute to the legendary sports enthusiast, so they messed up the hair of sideline reporter Dana Jacobsen, something they previously did to Sager.

What a hilarious and wonderful way to pay tribute to Sager. Even with all the shady dealings going on with Baylor right now, it’s hard to root against a fun group of guys like their basketball team. They’re going to the Sweet 16 after beating the Trojans 82-78 in the Round of 32.

Baylor’s advancing to the Sweet 16 for the first time since the 2014 season. They also made it in 2012 and 2010. Sager played an important role helping to cover them during those two magical runs. They will be looking to advance to their first Elite Eight since the 2012 season, where they eventually lost to the Kentucky Wildcats.

Johnathan Motley lead the way with 19 points and 10 rebounds. He was the best player on either team, dominating on both ends of the court. Baylor also got big points from Terry Maston, who tied Motley for the team lead with 19. King McClure had a dominant performance with 17 points.
