Twitter had plenty to say after a potentially epic goodbye from The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando on Sunday night.

In what may have just been the most memorable moment in the history of WrestleMania, The Undertaker quietly said goodbye to a somber crowd on Sunday night. After The Undertaker lost to Roman Reigns and suffered his second loss at the show he helped make famous, he might have decided to hang it up once and for all.

As a quiet crowd looked on and his music played, he removed his gloves, his coat and eventually his hat as he placed them in the center of the crowd. Chants of “thank you, Taker.” poured in from the crowd as he looked around and soaked in the moment for perhaps one last time.

It was a surreal scene that saw WrestleMania end with the lights going out one last time. After the shocking ending and ominous exit from one of the greatest legends to ever step in the ring, Twitter decided to pay their respects.

Fans were certainly emotional as they watched someone that spent decades creating a legend for himself. To see him probably go out with a loss and on his back is something common that legends of sports entertainment have done over the years. The Undertaker proved to be as old school as the rest of them.

The tributes for him will continue to pour in for the many years of memories that he created for the fans. When it comes to being a character, there was no greater one than The Undertaker and on Sunday night, a legend might have just said his final goodbye.
