The Minnesota Timberwolves officially unveiled their new logo with a pretty sweet hype video on Tuesday night.

When it comes to unveiling new logos and injecting some life into a brand, sports teams go all out these days. No longer is a simple logo unveiling the way to go. There has to be fireworks, hype videos and players rocking the new gear. The Minnesota Timberwolves are going all out with their new logo that dropped on Tuesday.

While the jerseys and court won’t be coming until the summer, the logo dropped and that’s the strongest symbol a team has. So the team decided to roll out an epic hype video that went over the history of basketball in Minnesota.

Starting things off with the Minneapolis Lakers was a nice touch and ode to just how popular the sport is in the city. Then video showed the history of the Timberwolves from the attendance record to Kevin Garnett and had a tribute to those in the organization that had passed on.

Finally at the end, the new logo was shown and it featured the wolf howling into the night with the basketball behind it. The new colors really jumped off the page and it looked similar to the logo they had when they first came into the league.
