Well now that the perfunctory first three round of the NBA playoffs are over with and we got the matchup we wanted, let’s take another week off to think about what we are doing with our lives.

To kick off this week of quiet, contemplative reflection, Fastbreak Breakfast offers a new episode talking a little about the Finals, but also reaching deeper into the stories at the fringes. So if you want to debate LeBron James as GOAT, there’s a little of that, but you might be left wanting more. However, if you want to know what it would take to convert someone into becoming a Brooklyn Nets diehard, have we got a show for you.

ASSORTED HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Recapping a big week in the ongoing Nashville/Memphis rivalry as the Predators make the Stanley Cup Finals, Nashville passes Memphis in population, and IKEA announces they will be opening a store in Nashville.
  • Answering questions from our Patreon Supporters, in a newly minted segment (read with a funny accent): “CROISSANT QUESTIONS”
  • Broaching the mainstream, talking-head topic of LeBron James versus Michael Jordan. Can a cogent argument be made for James being the greatest ever?
  • Has the Giannis Antetokounmpo hype gone too far? Could he actually win an MVP at some point?
  • The big question: Who wins the Finals? What can the regular season and playoffs tell us about this colossal matchup? Anything?
  • And what are you gonna do with your week off from basketball?

All Fastbreak Breakfast episodes are also available for download on iTunes and Soundcloud.
