While the NBA Finals have been relatively mediocre, at least we got a little glimpse at the rumored rap song featuring LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

The NBA Finals have featured two blowouts that have given the Golden State Warriors a 2-0 lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers, but the real story on Monday was about a rumored rap track with LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

Early on Monday, news broke about some song existing featuring two of the NBA’s biggest stars rapping together. The track was reportedly made during the 2011 lockout, before the two had their first battle in the NBA Finals when LeBron was on the Miami Heat and KD was on the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Late Monday night, Spider Studios, a studio in Ohio that apparently recorded the song, released some video of the track as a teaser, and said that they’d release the whole thing if they hit a million retweets on the video.

Before we get mad at the studio for the ridiculous goal, and also at that one kid who started this trend by getting millions of retweets asking for a lifetime supply of Wendy’s chicken nuggets, just enjoy the little snippet from the track.

Sure, the two basketball stars aren’t the next Drake or Jay-Z, but it could’ve sounded a whole lot worse in that little bite-sized preview the studio gave fans Monday night. However, until we get the track in its entirety, no one should be satisfied.

The video provides fans a little something to enjoy during their long wait between games of the NBA Finals, as Game 3 of the series won’t happen until Wednesday in Cleveland. If the beatdowns from the Warriors continue through two more games, and nothing else comes out of this series, at least we have a little rap between two of the league’s biggest and best rivals to remember from this year’s playoffs.
