Scott Dawson’s setback comes after his tag team partner’s jaw injury kept The Revival on the shelf this spring. A match at SummerSlam is now in doubt.

The hits keep coming on this Monday for WWE superstars. Scott Dawson, one half of The Revival, has apparently suffered an injury that puts his SummerSlam status in doubt. Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that Dawson has a bicep injury that may require the two-time NXT Tag Team Champion to have surgery.

This news comes only a short while after WWE’s update on Bayley, who was ruled out for SummerSlam with a separated shoulder.

The Revival have been snakebitten since they arrived on the main roster after WrestleMania. Dash Wilder broke his jaw shortly after their debut, putting The Revival on the sideline for much of the spring. They recently returned as a tandem and targeted The Hardy Boyz, and appeared destined to face off at SummerSlam. That, however, now looks to be in doubt now with Dawson’s bicep injury.

There is no update yet on what direction Dawson will go in. As the article entails, surgery could lead to the worst case scenario, which is an absence that could range from 4-6 months. That would tough to stomach for them and their fans, as the duo came up with a hoard of hype.

Due to injuries to both Dash and now Dawson, their run has been bumpy so far. They have yet to find a groove, but if you’ve watched them before, you know how special they can be. It’s just a matter of time for them.

Hopefully for Dawson’s sake, the injury isn’t severe enough to take him out of the equation for the rest of 2017. The Top Guys are capable of elite in-ring work when they’re healthy. So, best wishes to Scott Dawson on a speedy recovery so that he and Dash can get back to wrecking shop in no time.
