Nebraska’s De’Mornay Pierson-El makes crazy touchdown catch vs. Oregon (Video)

Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback Tanner Lee finds wide receiver De’Mornay Pierson-El for one of the best touchdowns of the early college football season.

In of the marquee non-conference matchups of Week 2 of the 2017 college football season, the Oregon Ducks hosted the Nebraska Cornhuskers. These two Power 5 players met in Lincoln last year with the Cornhuskers coming out on top. While the Ducks lead in this one, this touchdown pass from Tanner Lee to De’Mornay Pierson-El was pretty sweet.

Lee threw this ball where only Pierson-El could get it. Pierson-El juggled the ball for a second and used the Oregon defensive back to help come up with the slick grab. In a way, you could say that Pierson-El owned that defensive back on this touchdown catch. It was that incredible.

Nebraska head coach Mike Riley has his program heading in the right direction. The Corvallis native loves to beat up the Ducks. Keep in mind that he coached in the Pac-12 for years with the Civil War rival Oregon State Beavers. They were really good under Riley.

As for the Ducks, this is the first year that Willie Taggart is in charge. The former South Florida Bulls head coach replaces Mark Helfrich after a disastrous sub-.500 2016 season in Eugene. While Oregon is not expected to win big in the Pac-12 in 2017, they should be better under Taggart in year one.

While the Wisconsin Badgers are the cream of the crop in the Big Ten West, don’t try to tell Lee, Pierson-El or Riley that. Nebraska is likely the biggest challenge to Paul Chryst’s team in the division. Those two programs are really starting to form quite the rivalry since Nebraska joined the Big Ten several years ago.

Though it will be tough, Nebraska has the football talent to pull off a come-from-behind win in Eugene over the Ducks. It won’t be easy, more plays like Lee to Pierson-El’s connection could do the trick at Autzen for the Cornhuskers.
