Jaguars Twitter has no chill, changes name to troll the Texans

The Jaguars defense pounded Houston’s offense into the turf in Week 1, and then immediately took to Twitter to troll them.

Here’s a new one: the Jacksonville Jaguars actually played a competent game of football for the first time since — well, its been a while. They beat up on a Texans team who looked lost, horrible; pick any negative adjective and it will work.

But before the Blake Bortles hot take canon fires up, it was their defense that won the game.

The team’s Twitter, eager to fully embrace the two-game win streak the team is on (dating back to Week 17 of last year), went full-troll.

See if you can spot what looks different here:

Oddly enough, this move is warranted after the Jags totaled 10 sacks (yes, one-zero sacks). The Jaguars beat up on Texans starter Tom Savage so badly that they ran him out of the game, setting the stage for rookie Deshaun Watson.

I’ve always been told to enjoy the little things in life, this seems like a bit much though. I guess after losing for so many years the only victories the Jags’ could get were on social media. They are clearly living in the moment, and they should, this may be the only victory they get this season.

Tom Savage wasn’t the only “savage” involved today. Clearly the intern that is running the Jags’ Twitter page deserves more praise than the Texans’ starter. Props to you, guy. You made everyone laugh, and it wasn’t at the performance the team subjected the fans to. What a time to be alive, the Jags are killing opposing quarterbacks and the social media game. Enjoy it while it lasts, which may just be until next Sunday.
