Wisconsin fans looking for a place to drink in Provo before the Badgers play BYU are in luck thanks to one bar’s savvy decision

College football fans, as a generalized collective, tend to drink before or during their favorite team plays on Saturdays. This isn’t exclusive to said favorite team being at home. In fact, you could argue that being on the road is even more of a reason for fans to consume several adult beverages. However, the Wisconsin Badgers fans faced a potential dilemma in Week 3 of the college football season as they traveled to Provo, UT to play BYU.

Why that’s problematic is because, well, Provo is pretty far removed from being the ideal place to go out drinking. Not only do they have strict laws regarding the alcohol content of adult beverages, but Provo itself just simply doesn’t have anywhere to drink.

SB Nation’s Matt Brown dug into this and found that there were only two bars with a Provo address. As such, you can imagine that they wouldn’t be able to accommodate fans from a state that is more or less known for beer and/or drinking.

However, Wisconsin fans are getting treated like royalty this weekend as one of those two bars in Provo, ABG’s Libation Emporium, will open early (H/T The Comeback). And if you think that Badgers fans aren’t excited by this, just look at these smiling faces in front of the establishment:

That is a group of people that are ready for some alcohol intake as soon as those doors open.

As both SB Nation and The Comeback noted, the bar may be opening early, but they seem to be underestimating what’s coming. They boast about having enough beers on tap and so on. But with a low alcohol content in all of their drinks and a group of thirsty Wisconsin fans likely flocking to the one place that’s open, they better hope they have some reserves locked and loaded.
