As many expected, Dwyane Wade has reached an agreement with the Cavaliers on a one-year deal.

Once the news broke recently that Dwyane Wade had officially reached his buyout agreement with the Chicago Bulls after spending only one season with his hometown team, the speculation ran rampant as to where he would end up. But in reality, everyone knew that Wade was headed to one organization and one organization only — the Cleveland Cavaliers, reuniting himself with his best pal LeBron James.

It was reported earlier in the day Tuesday by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that Wade was headed to the Cavaliers ultimately and an announcement would come down by Wednesday. Well, Shams Charania of The Vertical appears to have scooped his old boss once again.

Wade heading to the Cavaliers will be happening, as he has reportedly agreed with the team on a one-year deal worth $2.3 million.

Once Wade officially clears waivers on Wednesday then not long after this deal should become official in the books.

To be fair, it was also reported that he was considering some other options such as the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder — who are trying to build a death team of their own to take down the Warriors — but everyone knew in their mind the former Marquette star was going to play with LeBron once again. It’s even been whispered the past couple seasons at points that Wade could end up in Cleveland, but it became a clear option on the table once he reached a buyout agreement with the Bulls.

Wade doesn’t make up for the loss of Kyrie Irving, but his chemistry with LeBron will be interesting to see on the court again this upcoming season, regardless of how old he is.

If Wade is going to get his fourth NBA Championship, he’ll search to do it with LeBron, which would make it their third ring together.
