The Cincinnati Bengals went to Cleveland and beat the Browns easily, winning 31-7. Here’s some highlights, three stars and an update on the betting lines.

Here was the Battle of Ohio Part I, between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Cleveland Browns. As we had anticipated going into the game, the Bengals were favored over the win-less Browns.

They came out firing, behind Andy Dalton’s solid play, and hopped out to a 31-0 lead before the Browns could even get on the board. The Browns also had quarterback issues and had to go from DeShone Kizer to Kevin Hogan by the end of the game.

Here are some highlights, along with the three stars of the game, update on the betting odds and also what’s coming up next week for both weeks.

Highlights

Three Stars

1. QB Andy Dalton

Andy Dalton’s been under fire a lot this season for his play, but he was fantastic today in Cleveland. Dalton ended the day completing 25-of-30 passes for 286 yards, including four touchdowns.

He was accurate, throwing dimes all over the field, and got all of his receivers involved. This is the Dalton that the Bengals are going to need moving forward.

2. TE Tyler Kroft

Kroft was the receiving stud of the game for the Bengals. He caught six balls for 68 yards, including two touchdowns. He came through for Dalton time and time again and his big target gave Dalton the chance to throw for four touchdowns.

3. Bengals’ defense

The Cincinnati defense also has to get a shout out here for their amazing performance on the road. They held Kizer to only 118 yards passing and didn’t allow eithe Isaiah Crowell or Duke Johnson to break loose, giving up only 33 yards rushing.

Giving up only seven points on the road against Cleveland is a great point to get their season going.

Betting Odds

The spread had the Cincinnati Bengals as three-point favorites coming into the game and obviously the Bengals covered that spread and also won the game straight up. The over/under total was set to 41.5 points and the under won out because the two teams only totaled to 38 points.
