DraftKings NFL: Main’s Mavericks Week 6 DraftKings GPP Advice
Main’s Mavericks is providing weekly Draftkings NFL GPP contest advice by searching out low-salary plays destined to outperform value. As a general rule for this article, I target players below $5,000. My goal is to pick value plays who I believe can exceed 4-5 times their value (EX: $5,000 player x 4 = 20DK Pts). I will be using all of my picks in Week 6 DraftKings NFL GPP tournaments as boom-or-bust punt options. Saving on these volatile low-salary players will allow you to pay-up for superstars when building that $1,000,000 lineup.

Blake Bortles 4,800 @ PIT (30th Priced QB) – 3.70 (29th QB)
Frank Gore 4,400 vs SF (39th Priced RB) – 11.60 (21st RB)
JD McKissic 3,200 vs SF (85th Priced RB) – 6.60 (38th RB)
Paul Richardson 4,600 @ LAR (39th Priced WR) – 6.50 (>50th WR)
Brandon Marshall 4,600 vs LAC (39th Priced WR) – 3.50 (>50th WR)
Terrance Williams 3,600 vs GB (71st Priced WR) – 3.40 (>50th WR)
Jesse James 3,000 vs JAX (23rd Priced TE) – 5.40 (23rd TE)

Respectable, but not good enough. First off, how the heck did Bortles put up a blowout win against Pittsburgh and finish as the 29th QB. Crazy stuff. Gore and McKissic did their job and outperformed value, but didn’t win anybody contests. I will be frank, my WR picks struggled. Marshall suffered a season-ending injury early. TWill, Richardson and James were pedestrian. We just see, every week cannot be as great as the last three. A down week means there is only one place left to go – up!
Week 6 DraftKings NFL GPP Picks
QB:
Case Keenum vs GB – $5,000 (26th QB)
Did you see how bad Sam Bradford is? He is obviously not healthy. I’ll take the guy throwing the ball to Thielen and Diggs.
RB:
Theo Riddick @ NO – $4,300 (42nd RB)
NO defense is terrible, despite what they did to Miami. I am pretty sure that was a “white powder” game for Miami’s o-line though. Give me a big play for Theo.
Jerick McKinnon vs GB – $4,100 (46th RB)
I like McKinnon this week against GB. He put up double-digit points against them last season, and GB is giving up 19.00 points per game to RBs (per rotoworld.com).
WR:
Jaron Brown vs TB – $4,900 (36th WR)

Target machine so far. Palmer knows this guy gets open. Plus, this TB secondary is terrible. Jaron Brown matched up with a LB or Conte. Sounds like somebody is getting torched.
Martavis Bryant @ KC – $4,700 (39th WR)
Big Ben’s heart is not in football. That is the narrative coming into this game. Watch for a big game to quiet the critics. Plus, KC defense has allowed big games to WRs this year.
Ricardo Lewis @ HOU – $3,900 (68th WR)
Tough matchup. However, I think Houston D will be uninspired after injuries to Watt and Mercilus.
TE:
George Kittle @ WAS – $3,400 (18th TE)
Coming off a week where he had 9 targets and he pulled down a touchdown (per ESPN.com). Now he goes up against a struggling defense.
