Liverpool have been the model of defensive ineptitude so far this season, allowing 12 goals and only scoring 13. What makes their season so strange is that they’re fourth in the league in goals scored thus far. The idea of being offensively minded and simply scoring more than you give up isn’t serving the Reds well thus far.

Manchester United, on the other hand, have been putting all of the best Jose Mourinho ideals into place. They’re dominating the league so far with 21 goals scored and only two allowed. They’ve been a menace in the despite occasionally waiting till the last few minutes to rack up the score. Coping without Paul Pogba will be tough for their offensive efforts, but with how efficiently they’ve been playing, it shouldn’t matter much.
