Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr hopes the NBA throws the book at Stephen Curry after his dangerous mouthpiece throw and ejection.

The Golden State Warriors are an expressive team. Whether they are dancing around after going up by 30 or going on one of their devastating offensive runs or frustrated on that one random night they cannot hit a shot, fans always know how the Warriors are feeling.

Those moments of frustration sure make them look human. Which is nice to know they bleed and get frustrated like the rest of us.

That happened again Saturday as Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant got ejected late from Saturday’s 111-101 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies. Late in the game, Curry threw his mouthguard toward the official and got himself tossed for the act. It was not the first time he had done it. So, of course, there is some concern a harsher penalty might be on the way.

Steve Kerr, at least, thinks the NBA may throw the book at Curry:

Of course, Kerr is joking here.

Likely Curry will take a fine, a stern talking to and go on his happy way. The Warriors will not be without their star point guard any time soon. Certainly not on the count of a suspension. But Kerr is never one to pass a moment to give a wry comment or joke about something that is not serious with the media. So he could not pass this opportunity up.

That mouthguard is pretty dangerous, after all. Maybe Stephen Curry should be more careful with where he throws it and what he does with it next time. Suspensions and emotional outbursts like this are part and parcel for the Warriors. It is part of who they are. And Curry is likely going to have emotional outbursts like this again.

Next: Every NBA team's greatest shooter of all time

Hopefully next time he keeps his mouthguard in his mouth when he gets angry.
