New Era Black Label NBA line allows fans to share players’ style

New Era’s newest line of NBA hats represents the best of the NBA’s pre- and post-game style.

The New Era Black Label NBA collection will be available online and in stores this week, giving NBA fans access to 13 new styles based off the style that players have been showing before and after games.

Since New Era debuted its version of NBA hats with the NBA Draft and on-court lines earlier this year, the bar was set high for any and all antecedent lines. The Black Label line shouldn’t disappoint fans. The 13 new styles, in alphabetical order, are:

  • Beaded Brim Fedora – A classic wool fedora featuring a team-color-beaded brim and team-logo-embossed leather tag.
  • Cashmere 9TWENTY – A gray cashmere blend 9TWENTY dad cap featuring a two-tone embroidered logo, silver New Era flag metal badge and a snakeskin-embossed leather strap enclosure
  • Classical Knit – A classic wool and cashmere blend cable knit cuff with off-white stripe on the cuff and team-logo-embossed leather tag.
  • Essential Fitted 59FIFTY – A team-color wool fitted 59FIFTY featuring a tonal team-embroidered logo with a pop of color to accent.
  • Gloss Metal 9FIFTY – A black leather blend 9FIFTY featuring a glossy black metal team logo and New Era flag applique with a modern leather strap closure
  • Matte Metal 49FORTY – A black wool 49FORTY featuring tonal team matte metal applique and New Era flag metal badge with matching black metal eyelets.
  • Snakeskin 9FIFTY – A team-color suede blend 9FIFTY featuring a snakeskin-embossed visor and embossed team logo with a shiny gold metal New Era flag and strapback closure with a gold buckle to tie this style together.
  • Suiting 9TWENTY – A wool 9TWENTY dad cap featuring a tonal team logo side hit, silver New Era flag metal badge and leather strap closure.
  • Suiting Duckbill – A classic wool duckbill featuring a tonal team logo on the rear of the cap and a metal New Era flag badge.
  • Team Patch Knit – A wool and cashmere cable knit cap featuring tonal leather patch filled embroidered team logo.
  • Trucker 9TWENTY – A micro suede and mesh trucker style cap with a gold embossed team name and established date, rear tab featuring team logo and leather strap closure with gold accents.
  • Tweed 49FORTY – A wool herringbone tweed 49FORTY featuring a two tone embroidered team logo and metal New Era flag badge.
  • Waxed Cotton 9TWENTY – A waxed cotton 9TWENTY dad cap featuring a tonal team logo side hit, metal eyelets, a silver New Era flag metal badge and waxed cotton strap closure with silver buckle.

“NBA players are some of the most stylish athletes in the world, so we wanted to make sure that they had caps to match their attire pre- and post-game,” said Joshua Krebs, senior basketball category manager for New Era. “We worked with some of our brand ambassadors to come up with the best collection possible and we know this is something that their fans will absolutely love.”

Fans can now purchase these hats on New Era’s web site, Lids’ web site, The NBA Store and from select NBA team retailers.
