The Denver Nuggets fell to 3-4 on the season after losing 116-110. On Wednesday night, they return to the mile high city to host the Toronto Raptors. Toronto defeated Portland 99-85 on Monday, despite Serge Ibaka and Jonas Valanciunas missing the game with injuries. Fans in the Portland area can watch the game on ALT, while Canadian fans can watch the game on TSN.

Denver was expected to take a step forward this season but their lack of a true point guard has hurt them. Neither Emmanuel Mudiay or Jamal Murray have proved to be the answer at point guard despite the Nuggets investing a lottery pick on both players. Outside of their issues at point guard, Denver has a talented front court of Nikola Jokic and Paul Millsap, who could both have big games if Ibaka and Valanciunas miss Wednesday’s game. Gary Harris and Will Barton are talented wing scorers but their defensive abilities will be tested by DeMar DeRozan. The Raptors guard is averaging 23.7 points per game.

Toronto’s front court depth has been tested because of injuries to Valanciunas and Ibaka. Lucas Nogueira scored 17 points against Portland, while Pascal Siakam and Jakob Poeltl have taken steps forward in their development after Toronto drafted them in the first round last year. Kyle Lowry has struggled to start the season but he could get his season back on track against Denver’s point guard combination. The Raptors also hoping that Norman Powell rediscovers his offensive game. Powell is shooting 30 percent from the floor and is averaging only six points per games.
