The mother of former NBA All Star Chris Bosh was named a suspect in a drug trafficking sting in the Dallas suburb of DeSoto, according to TMZ.

Former NBA star Chris Bosh is back in the news. It’s no fault of his own, however.

According to reports from TMZ Sports , Bosh’s mother, Freida, is a suspect in a drug trafficking investigation in a Dallas suburb.

Through official documents, the site learned that the DeSoto Police Department raided a home Friday morning that Freida allegedly lives in after obtaining a search warrant. A DeSoto police representative told TMZ that “a large amount of drug paraphernalia was recovered consistent with narcotics trafficking” was found in the home. The cops believe that the home is owned by Bosh. The two-time NBA champion, however, doesn’t appear to be linked to the alleged crimes.

“We don’t believe Chris has any connection short of owning the house,” a law enforcement source told TMZ.

No arrests have been made, but the story is still developing.

Bosh most recently made headlines in July after the Miami Heat waived him and announced that they’d retire his No. 1 jersey. His career was cut short by blood clot issues during the 2015-16 NBA season.

Bosh spent six seasons with the franchise, helping the team to NBA titles in 2012 and 2013 as one-third of the Heat’s ‘Big Three’– the other two players, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James, having reunited as teammates this season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Before joining Miami in the 2010 offseason, Bosh spent seven years with the Toronto Raptors. He established himself as one of the game’s top power forwards in Toronto. Bosh had his best statistical year in 2009-10, where he averaged 24.0 points and 10.8 rebounds.

In 13 seasons, Bosh holds career averages of 19.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.0 blocks and 2.0 assists.
