Kyrie Irving is talking about flat earth conspiracy theories again. The Celtics’ guard takes a trip even further into wacky-land during his recent guest appearance on the J.J. Redick Podcast.

Kyrie Irving is not afraid to say what he thinks, even if his mind is full of crazy conspiracy theories not just limited to his thoughts about the shape of Earth.

Ben Rohrbach of Yahoo Sports wrote a thorough rundown of the guard’s history of flat-earth talk today, including comments Irving made on his recent guest appearance on The J.J. Redick Podcast.

When asked by fellow former Duke Blue Devil Redick if his thoughts about the flat earth were a conspiracy or just his own opinion Irving revealed his beliefs come from some not-so-thorough research…through Instagram. The Celtics’ guard admitted:

"I had been watching a whole bunch of Instagram videos. Meaning, like, I had the specific pages on Instagram that were like, “The truth given to you,” and videos like, “This is the flat earth, and the horizon evens out only on a flat earth.” I didn’t do as much research as I [should have] in order to say something like that, because I was just ready to blurt it out like, “Flat earth, it’s a conspiracy theory. They want to get us!” When you start thinking about it, the actual intent behind it was just, like, do your own research."

You heard the man: “they want to get us”! But, who are “they”? And what do “they” want to “get us” for? Irving has yet to reveal his thoughts about “their” sinister plans that revolve around tricking us into believing the earth is round.

He did, however, reveal that his skepticism about the world around him does not stop at the horizon of a flat earth.

"They’ll give you stuff on the government, geo-engineering, chemtrails, and everything else. It just makes you think. That was the beautiful thing about it — it made me think. It made me think twice about s**t."

That reads like a murderer’s row of conspiracy claims. Kyrie certainly seems to be knee-deep in the weeds of all of them.

He even begins to dive into the dangerous waters of 911 Conspiracies before J.J. wisely reigns him in.

Redick did joined in on the conspiracy-theory fun, confessing “I’m not entirely convinced that dinosaurs existed,” and the two talked for a few minutes about the claims that dinosaur fossils were “never found” until after the term “dinosaur” was coined – and doubts stemming on the idea that remains have to be pieced back together after they are found.

If anyone’s able to find it, please piece Kyrie’s brain back together.
