AFC Championship, Jaguars at Patriots live stream: How to watch

HOUSTON - FEBRUARY 1: Quarterback Tom Brady
HOUSTON - FEBRUARY 1: Quarterback Tom Brady

The winner of the AFC will be crowned on Sunday, as the Jacksonville Jaguars head to New England to take on the Patriots inside Gillette Stadium.

The New England Patriots are the clear favorite against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, but the Jags have read that headline before. Heading into their Divisional Round matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Jaguars were not given much of a chance to advance to the AFC Championship Game. However, they put up 45 points against the Steelers inside their own building, putting to rest the idea of a rematch of last year’s AFC title game between the Steelers and Patriots.

For the Patriots, it was business as usual in their Divisional Round matchup, as they blasted the Tennessee Titans. The Titans actually got off to a hot start, scoring the first touchdown of the game, but it was all Pats after that. With the win, Tom Brady will head to his seventh consecutive AFC Championship Game, as he looks to clinch his spot in Super Bowl LII, where a win would be No. 6.

Jacksonville was able to shock the world by beating the Steelers on the road last weekend but will face an even tougher task in New England on Sunday. With a win, they will have completed one of the more surprising playoff runs in recent memory.

Next: Jaguars' run, Vikings' miracle and Pats' dominance

It has been a nice run for the Jaguars this season, who were a team very few expected to get this far. The Patriots may be too much to handle in this one, as they have the experience needed to get to the big game. Jacksonville did have one of the best defenses in football this season, especially at getting after the quarterback, and if they can get to Brady early, they may be able to get him out of his rhythm.

When all is said and done, Brady and company will be heading back to the big game.
