Stephen Curry’s squad for the All-Star Game is vicious, and they will definitely give LeBron James a run for his money.

Stephen Curry and LeBron James are team captains this year for the 2018 All-Star Game, and the format changed so that they got to draft their own teams. LeBron made some bold picks like Kevin Durant and Anthony Davis, but Curry fired back with some nice selections of his own.

The starters for Team Steph are James Harden, DeMar DeRozan, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid. That is a solid combination of shooters and athletic bigs who can contest at the rim. If you thought the 3-point threats in the starting lineup were dangerous, then check out the reserves: Damian Lillard, Jimmy Butler, Draymond Green, Kyle Lowry, Klay Thompson, Karl-Anthony Towns and Al Horford.

Embiid is poised to be one of the most entertaining All-Stars since Shaquille O’Neal, and it should be awesome to see him play alongside Curry. Steph will probably also log some solid minutes with teammates Green and Thompson, but LeBron deprived the point guard of Durant. You can check out James’ team below.

Unfortunately, the draft wasn’t televised, but that is something the NBA must remedy if this format of selecting teams continues. At the very least, here is hoping that someone who overheard the conference call will leak the draft order, but it could also be fun if LeBron or Curry took up that burden.

NBA All-Star weekend is usually more exciting during Saturday night, but this twist could give Sunday night a shot at winning the ratings. Especially since Curry decided he won’t participate in the 3-point contest! What’s the deal Steph? You aren’t going to practice your shot that day? Can’t you do it on TV for our entertainment and skip your morning workout? Just saying. It should be a phenomenal game between Team LeBron and Team Steph, and the winner will have bragging rights up until the NBA Finals.
