The 2018 March Madness Bracket is finally here! Here is how the South Region is projected to go down.

If there’s a tougher region to get out of than the South, someone needs to make the case. It’s never easy going up against the No. 1 overall seed, but the South is stacked with wild cards that could bust brackets on the first weekend.

Davidson leads the charge of potential bracket busters, with Texas looking like a team that could really make some noise. Arizona — FBI probe controversy and all — is someone only a four-seed and could be a team that folks sleep on. Seriously, how does a school win a Power Five tournament, finish as regular season champs, and only draw a four-seed?

Here’s a look at what could be the wildest region of the tournament:

One of the teams to look out for in this bracket are the Miami Hurricanes. Led by Jim Larranaga, The Hurricanes had a fantastic season in the uber-competitive Atlantic Coast Conference, but they have a great matchup in the first round. Loyola-Chicago could be an easy choice to get on board with as far as wishing them well, but they’re dancing with the big boys now and need to bring their best. Miami should be careful, but they look primed to make a run if they don’t get in their own way.

Expect the Tennessee Volunteers to possibly make some noise as well. The Vols are always a shakey seed, but they wouldn’t have to meet Virginia until the Elite Eight, which bodes well for a run.

Of course, picking upsets is why we all love March Madness, and the South region is packed with sexy options. It’s a minefield, so whatever you end up penciling in on your office bracket, be wary of going with too many higher seeded teams.
