The 2018 NCAA women’s basketball tournament bracket is now set with UConn and Mississippi State looking to end their seasons with a title.

One year ago in the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, it was the UConn Huskies who weren’t cutting down the nets, but were instead left in shock. That’s because their 111-game winning streak was brought to an end by the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Now, as we enter the 2018 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament, we could be heading towards a rematch between those two foes.

Once again, Geno Auriemma and UConn are undefeated and had locked up the top-overall seed in the NCAA Women’s bracket. However, right behind them were the Bulldogs with only one loss on the season, which came in the final game before the tournament. Mississippi State was toppled in the SEC Championship Game by a talented South Carolina Gamecocks team, who earned a No. 2 seed.

Joining UConn and Mississippi State on the 1-line were the Louisville Cardinals — the ACC Champions — and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, a feisty team that has dealt with numerous season-ending injuries. However, let’s not forget that it’s March and anything can happen this time of year when it comes to the hardwood.

It was pretty obvious who the No. 1 seeds would be for the tourney. But let’s check out how the entire 2018 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament bracket shakes out (for a printable version, simply click on the image to be taken to it):

For most people, it’ll be either the Huskies or the Bulldogs going all the way to cut down the nets. However, could you be the one who correctly predicts this year’s upset special? It’ll take some great smarts, intuition and maybe a bit of luck to make the right pick. After all, that’s what March is all about.
