NCAA Tournament 2018, Radford vs Villanova: Watch online, live stream, box score
By Devin Keller
The Radford Highlanders take on the top-seeded Villanova Wildcats on Thursday, March 15 for a spot in the round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament 2018. Here is everything you need to know on how to watch the game on TV and online.
The Radford Highlanders and Villanova Wildcats are a No. 16 and No. 1 seed match up, which in most cases end up in a blowout. However, Radford has high hopes and dedication in effort to pull off a magnificent upset and be the first team to knock off a No. 16 seed. It definitely will not be easy, and highly unlikely.
The Highlanders finished their season with a 23-12 overall record, 12-6 in Big South Conference play. They finished 2nd in the conference following the end of the regular season, but they did end up winning the Big South Conference Tournament Final against the Liberty Flames 55-52 which gave the Highlanders an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament for 2018. This is Radford’s first appearance in the National Tournament since 2009, where they got a No. 16 seed only to lose to No. 1 seed North Carolina in the first round 101-58. This year, the Highlanders look to at least decrease the loss score margin in this year’s match up against the Wildcats. Of course, their goal is to win the game, but it will not be as easy as it sounds.
The Villanova Wildcats are also champions of their own conference, defeating Providence 76-66 in the Big East Final. The Wildcats look to capitalize against Radford in brilliant fashion and move on in hopes to win a 2nd national championship in 3 years.
